Duuuude losing weight is NOT easy. It requires like so much work and dedication, and even then for certain people it's EVEN HARDER. And you just happen to be one of the people who have a harder time with it (especially with your medicine).

That's totally lame that anyone would try to flame you for that or think you're like... saying stuff like this for attention :( It's an honest worry about your health that you have, and totally justified.

BTW I love the word "peons" XZD;;

I'm sorry, but FUCKING WAAAAH. Put on your big girl panties, stop eating crap, and get off your ass. Of course it's hard. If it were easy, we'd all be skinny.

You knew me when I was skinny, sure. But I was skinny after losing 80 pounds. I put it all back on over the last ten years and now I'm losing it again. Now I eat well and work my ASS off in the gym, and it is a total LIFESTYLE change. You have to decide whether or not you want to put in the effort, because it's something you have to be conscious EVERY DAY. Go to the gym, don't eat that cupcake, work just a little bit harder, take the stairs, GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, eat vegetables vegetables vegetables, THINK like a skinny girl.

And buy the book Skinny Bitch.

And have faith in the age-old adage that exercise cures all. It does.

In any case, instead of making snap judgments on itsumopinku, perhaps you should do some research on your own.

LOOOOOL, I'm sorry, who are you? I don't believe I was addressing you. Perhaps you should know a little bit more about me before you start pissing out your piehole.

I don't need to know a thing about you. All I needed to do was read your post to see you were full of holier-than-thou shit.

Can you join a place that has a pool? Is that within your means? Because that won't aggravate your knee, and it's just as good for you. You should be able to exercise without pain. Pain is your body's way of saying, "Knock it off!" so listen to it.

I know Gold's Gym has this machine that doesn't put pressure on the joints, but that's kinda pricey, too. I mean, the machine is more expensive, but it's nice, going to a gym where there are all kinds of distractions to keep me from noticing how tiring it is.

Losing weight is hard. And the worst part is, you look the same when you're doing everything right as you do when you're not. So you still get the self-righteous pricks looking you over and judging you, because, how can they tell you've worked out for an hour every day this week?

I have to say, swimming is a good idea. I know that the Asheville Y had a pool. I don't know if you can make it out all that way or afford it, but it would certainly help you work on your knee without putting a heavy burden on it.

Pools have more resistance though, they make my knee tired XD I suppose it's better than wii fit though...

Jaime, just remember that exercise isn't easy. When the celebrity crowd fails they move to tummytucks, Lipo, and gastric by-pass. They have teams of people they pay to smack the food out of their hands. After all is said and done they come out and say "Look at all the weight that I lost."

The down side of the lie is they never gained the self discipline required to keep it off. That is why the "Biggest Loser" bunch usually end up gaining the weight back. Also, when a fat cell replicates it can only shrink from that point forward. The only way to loss fat is to have it removed, otherwise it simply shrinks.

I have a bad knee and the pool at the Y has helped me out a ton! Just go to the deep water classes. They gives you floats and you work out with your arms and abs and stuff - so it has practically no pressure on your knee. I am taking that class now with a bunch of 70 yr olds - they are all super fun! The teacher weighed almost 450 pounds and was told for her hip replacement surgery she had to loose at least 150 pounds and she started swimming. now she teaches the class and is around 200 ( ... )
