Precisely. 'My poor fragile little bird' was her exact closing phrase.

The frequency at which she was speaking prevented me from catching all of it. But I do believe there were some form of treats involved. And something to entertain you. And, apparently, something for the both of us even though I'm callous and eminently heartless.

He technically did not utter a word, yet I felt we understood each other for the first time.

Apparently, it transpires that my cardinal sin was not cheating on him, or keeping my version of events short but simply that I did not stay around afterwords.

May I be the first to say that this defies understanding?
