I'm almost impressed that I haven't lost interest in the history book yet, and I suppose Rome being quite so... Roman... had more than a little to do with it, not to mention the fact that my companion was willing to share information about our surroundings with almost religious fervour.
But there is one more project I find myself compelled to give thought to.
