And on we go, forever...

Happiness is a funny and fickle thing. It’s like that little squiggly line in your peripheral vision. It always just seems to be there when you’re not really looking for it, but the minute you try and focus on the darn thing, it escapes you, eludes you, and you can never quite pin it down. Moments of happiness are common things, but realizing them ( Read more... )

Oh, man, it would be very cool to get a Muse for Christmas. Those are hard to find! *hugs* I hope that you will get one and that you will feel better. You deserve to be happy!

Thank you, Luka. I honestly couldn't do it without the support I get from friends like you. It's nice to know I have my own little cheering section out there. *hugs*

i hear you on the relationship thing...
though i cannot quite relate to the jealousy aspect of it, i do understand the bitterness and cynicism very well.

oh, hell, you already knew that.

i should hope that it won't take you long to overcome your feelings.

also, a 2.89 is something to be pretty proud of...if it helps, that's higher than most college student GPAs, to be honest. lots of people are amazed to graduate with a 3.0. still, it's very cool to see that you want to shoot for graduating with honors. i wish you luck!

... Really? That's... amazing. I don't know whether that speaks about students or teachers, but it certainly says something about the state of our educational system.
And the jealousy, for me, pretty much stems from so many failures where I have tried so hard, and put so much into it, only to have it backfire on me. In a sense, I suppose I feel like "damn it, I -deserve- this.", but then I rationalize that if I really did deserve it, I would have it. And content myself with that.

as long as you can find contentment...

and yes, 2.89 is what would be considered a high GPA in most cases. i'm not sure what your cum. GPA needs to be to make honors, but here it was something like a 3.5. for you guys, i'm sure it's not much different. either way, you can consider yourself closer than most others, especially if you surpass a 3.0 by the end of your next semester.
