My boss has a unrelated saying that's only related by the word 'horse'.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. You can pull the horse into the water, but it if drowns, oh well! (the first part wasn't his, but the latter is).

I don't know why I felt like posting that...I remember things weirdly...
