Learning to knit isn't that difficult. I wanted to learn too, so I just bought a book, needles, and some yarn from Walmart and taught myself. Get a book that shows some basic stitches and go from there. Also, I would start out with some cheap yarn that you can practice on. Like, don't start out trying to make a sweater or something.
