Saw your post at the KOBJ comm and dropped in here to say I'M STEALING IT ALL. TWICE. Jing has taught me well. Or something. Point is-- Oh god, I needed new scans for icons like burning, so I'ma snag all of the bases AND the scans you posted as well.
(Also, can I put in my two cents in the "End of TT7" convo. between you and Anki? Because the way I read it kind of seems like Jing and Kir, you know... died. Maybe it was just the FAIL!storytelling of 7 in comparison to 6, but it came across that way. The whole 'going up into space' thing, plus them looking like they're not REALLY there when Picon sees them again.
I mean, it's way too much of a downer ending, but it's a theory.
And yeah. PlznoJingxPicon. That's creepy. JingxGrenadine forever.)
Huh, interesting, I hadn't considered the possibility that they'd died. I don't think so (or rather prefer not to think so), however, due to a) it'd be one of the lamest endings ever, and b) Jing always gets out of those kinds of messes somehow anyway.
Everyone's got a favourite JingxJingGirl pairing. XD In the meantime, I wind up shipping them cross-series thanks to LJ roleplays. Like Alize/Demyx and Fino/Riku.
I certainly don't mind Grenadine and Jing as a pairing, though. I liked the TT girls more than earlier ones, that's for sure. (Although I remain convinced that he had sex with Kirsche. There is no other way to interpret that ending.)
Oh yeah. I like to think that they survived and stole Picon away long enough for her to turn into some badass protege, but not have some creepy sort-of-pedo-ish relationship with Jing. (Though her height seemed to vary insanely over the course of TT7. There were times where it seemed she would reach Jing's navel and others where she was only about knee height. Wtf.)
And of course he had sex with Kirsche. That's why they never animated that one, don'tchaknow. (I'm still holding out for another OVA about vol 6 though. And I dream, every night, of a TT anime. Sigh.)
Ahahaha, protege!Picon is an awesome mental image. She'd totally make an amazing thief in her own right.
Did it really vary that much? I thought it was just due to the angles he was using. Huh, I'll have to go through it again.
Ahh, of course, how silly of me. And I would totally buy a TT anime, no matter how long I had to save up for it. (I still adore the OVA most, though, and not in the least because it follows the manga so perfectly. I don't think I've seen that done with any other series.)

I'm going to nab a couple of the b&w ones, but I haven't decided yet!
