S2 LJ themes from scratch aka OMFG what is this??!

I have a pretty header for my lj that I created. I would like to use it. After reading for 20 minutes about S2 styles, CSS, and custom theme layers, I am afraid to say that I've thrown in the towel. This makes even less sense to me than HTML. It's like reading braille in Klingon. I suppose I'll have to use one of the customizable themes, but I

I'm too freaking lazy to make an lj layout from scratch. The last time I tried I botched it. I just alter existing ones with new colors and banners and images and stuff.

Well, that's what I ended up doing -_- I'm still trying to learn some of it, but wow--it seems so complicated!

Yeah. My knowledge of html is archaic at this point and I'm too crotchety to learn new stuff. It all seems so intimidating! x_x
