So my friends are assholes and are topping me into making a Kamen Rider RP. I figure I'd write out what I got here and see who wants to volunteer to help me out with it. (Note: For all intents and purposes, whenever I say 'Rider' here, there is an implied "(and/or sentai)" after it.)
The world is a 'what-if' world. Namely, 'what if Tsukasa fails, and all the worlds merge?' The result is that everyone in this world is a Rider, monster, or both. Small children are sometimes exceptions until they get a belt somehow, but it always happens. Some find Advent Decks, others have a Zecter decide they're pretty sweet, sometimes the belts just fall into their laps. The monsters, of course, are every monster from Rider history. Grongi, Worms, Fangires, Kaijin, Shocker cyborgs, et all, they're all here.
The main Riders from all of Rider history are here, too. They are famous heroes, each having their adventures from canon, just in this world. So all of this is just a fact of life- Schools will offer lessons on HENSHIN and fighting; office workers or construction type will sometimes use rider powers to help with their work; the Olympics have been divided into Rider and non-henshin'd categories, and so on.
Sentai tends to act like police squads. They're less powerful overall, but they have the giant robots to bust out when necessary, and the 'civilians' (insomuch as this setting can have such things) are encouraged to just leave the problems to them.
Naturally, with a clusterfuck like this, something is going to rise to the top. And thus we have ShinShocker, slowly gathering kaijin and monsters, building itself up to TAKE OVER THE WORLD and WIPE OUT ALL RIDERS... you know, typical fare.
The RP is mainly based around the canon Riders and OCs. I was originally planning (and still am considering) to just disallow panfandom characters in their entirety, only allowing Toku and Sentai to be apped. However, as what is sentai can be hard to distinguish sometimes (Sailor Moon is technically sentai) and a few other reasons (shut up Jeff) I have been considering allowing panfandoms on a provisional, supervised basis.
For Riders, only canon AUs would be allowed (excepting that they all take place in this world, because I don't want to do another "YOU WIND UP IN MYSTERIOUS PLACE AND CANNOT LEAVE ONOZ" RP), and OCs would all invent their own Rider forms. An OC could not take a canon Rider's identity without good reason, however, they could make an OC that uses the same system as a canon Rider. So, for example, while I couldn't make an OC who became Gattack, I could make one who used a similar (but original!) Zecter.
OCs would, however, be encouraged to make their own henshin system. For sanity's sake, I'd be removing limits like 'only 13 Advent Decks' or 'only the few Kivats'. But creating a belt and system of your own for an OC would be cool.
Every Rider would be unique, too, with the exception of Riotroopers and ZECTroopers. Those are mass-produced 'fake' models, generally used for disabled folks who for whatever reason have no Rider form of their own, or for things like police uniform. This might lead to trouble if, say, Inui Takumi and Ogami Takumi both got apps, but they'd have to figure something out.
