Are crock pot crocks oven safe?

Nov 28, 2013 16:54

Simply that. I don't remember, my mother isn't around to ask, the Internet is inconclusive, and I'm out of casserole dishes and still haven't got the stuffing in the oven. Any ideas?

If the insert is stoneware, you should be fine.

From the crockpot site: All Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker removable crockery inserts (without lid) may be used safely in the microwave and the oven set up to 400°F. If you own another slow cooker brand, please refer to your owner’s manual for specific crockery cooking medium tolerances.

Thank you! I don't know why I couldn't find that. Too frazzled I guess :(

I've used the stoneware insert in the oven and it worked fine.
