I've always used Nature's Miracle to deal with cat urine. They make several useful products like a spray for cleaning up floors, and a laundry additive.
My cats tend to mark for one of three reasons: 1. illness/stress, 2. spite, and 3. dirty litter. Technically #3 is just a special case of #2, but it's one that I can actually do something about. God only knows the other reasons why they hold grudges.
Seasonal marking may be a territorial/mating behavior in males, even if neutered.
One of my cats pooed outside the box a few days ago, but that was just due to dirty litter since 3 cats 1 box, and I was having to rush out the door to get to work on time & didn't have the time to clean out the box. There are 2 litter boxes, but I swear, they all only use THAT SAME ONE like 90% of the time.
