Help!

My son's christening outfit is 100% cotton. The tag says dry clean only though? If I hand wash it in cold water and line dry it, will it be ok?

I'd hand wash and lay flat to dry so it keeps its shape.

I have a few "dry clean only" items, and I've always hand washed them without a problem

Thank you everyone! I hand washed it in cold water, rinsed it, put it in the washer to spin the water out and then threw it in the dryer on low for a few minutes to let it get it's shape back and it came out prefect!
