GateBuilding 101
Because I promised major_zoidberg a week ago that I'd post pics of the infamous Stargate float I never mentioned here.

The completed Earth Gate side:
Semi-completed Atlantis side. We ran out of the stuff we were using to do the glyphs, so at this point (last Sunday) it was not quite complete yet.

We're doing a dry run with it in the Canada Day Parade on Wednesday on the North Shore, then after that, it's down to Point Roberts in the USA for the July 4th parade where David Hewlett is the Grand Marshall.
I think we've done an excellent job with it. Fingers crossed everything goes off without a hitch! I'll hopefully be bringing Carson (my camera) with me, so I will hopefully have time after it's all over to post some pics of the actual event. Oh yeah, and just for those curious, the gate is going to be attached to the middle of a van, to look like the van is going through the Stargate.
Now I'm officially going to sleep. Good night everyone, hope you have a pleasant day tomorrow :).
