*waves to Vancouver* I watched the opening ceremony till Germany entered the stadium, after that I turned the TV off, because it was already 3.40 am. Hahahaha! :P

How does it feel to live in the Olympic city? *huggles*

I did not want to see that.
Gah, me neither. I saw pictures. :/ That's so sad. :(

I watched the beginning, some of the countries entering, but it was a long wait until Canada since they were at the end so I went off and did some stuff and came back to see them enter :). I only caught bits in the middle, but I did see the ending.

It's kind of strange. The past few weeks, every time I went outside downtown something new was up, or something else was different. It's also very exciting! But busy, OMG there were soooo many people out last night, before the Opening Ceremonies even started when I was headed home after work.

So you opening ceremony suffered a hydraulic failure and a guy died before you even started the games?

Your Olympic venue can "de-flate"? Did you hire a cheap blow up Olympic venue or something? lol

Yep, exactly.

LOL. No, the roof can deflate. It's just the weirdo style of roof BC Place has, it's this big inflated dome thing. Poor architectural design if you ask me.

I LOL-ed when the announcers were all "they're having hydraulics problems." During that time though the ppl around me were wondering who's going to do it... and I was like 'all of them!" and they were like "Of course! It's the Canadian way of doing things." Bwaha.

LOLOL IS THAT WHY THERE'S AN AIRLOCK?? Hilarious.

Yeah, it was like 'of course something has to go wrong.' lol.

That's what the announcer was saying when Gretzky was shown standing at the doors waiting to exit the building. I thought it was funny.

Hahahah we didn't hear what the announcer was saying... because we were laughing at the fact that it could've been another hydraulics fail. DOOR WON'T OPEN. XD

LOL. Yeah, I was looking at the tv thinking 'ok, so why exactly is he just standing at the door', then I heard them explain why.
