I got a kitty! She’s a tortoiseshell named Fiona, and she has about 2 inches of stub for a tail and a black face and green eyes and tiny feet. Steven paid her adoption fee, and I paid for all her gear, so we ended up about even. tortoiseshells are my favorite. i have black hair and my boyfriend has strawberry blond hair, so the kitty is like a mix of the two of us.

the adoption center told me that she'd hide for a few days, wasn't a lap cat and wouldn't sleep with me... maybe they gave me the wrong cat. i'll get steven to take some pictures, he's way more patient than i am.

oooo! i love torties and calicos. cats do have firm opinions on what people they choose to be around - sounds like fiona has made her choice. how old is she?

she loves me and steven. it's like having a family, and he calls her "our cat" which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. she's even let him pet her belly for 10 minutes, which no cat has ever done before.

fiona is 1.5 years old, but she's fat and round so she doesn't look that young. torties and calicos are the prettiest :)
