I had to spend the day getting my car towed to a shop and apparently the communication that there was a problem was either never received or ignored by my former employer and the temp agency who signed me up with them... who actually never left me any contact info for who

Aside from Lynx dying, the rest can be overcome. There is more to life than money and material possessions, and you have all of the things that matter for the most part.

Dude.. what the eff. That sincerely blows. Something kind of similar happened to a friend of mine, although his boss was aware of everything that was going on. People are assholes.
