Hephaistion anniversary

I chose to commemorate Hephaistion death this year with this little figurine from Capodimonte (Naples, Italy, about 1750): the artist who moulded it, Joseph Gricc, a German, was famous for having made an entire little room in china ware for the King Charles III. The so-called 'dying Alexander' from Uffizi (Florence)

Yesterday I went in Florence and saw again this marble bust of Alexander. It is an hellenistic sculpture (perhaps from Pergamon, III c. B.C.): part of the nose and of the neck, and the left locks are restored.
