This morning, I heard Sen. Mark Dayton give his rationale for wanting a constitutional amendment against flag burning. To me, this adds weight to the sad motto, "You have rights in this country, but God help you if you try to exercise them ( Read more... )

Is "electability" a word? If it is, did I spell it right? It doesn't quite look right.

"Electibility"? That resembles "electric hillbilly".

It's harder to imagine some wild band of progressives comandeering a small portion of the Republican party. Maybe instead it will split into two pieces.

Actually, it could be fun if some anarchists comandeer about 1/5 of the Republican party. They would show up in Brooks Brothers suits at some convention, then rip them off to reveal their black outfits.

We could end up in the long run with a new 2-party system - Greens vs. Anarchists. Instead of money, our national currency might be organic produce, backed by golden eggs in Ft. Knox.
