Is it bad that I'm not sad about this?

Quite apart from real life taking over, I'm just excited about what happens next. And glad that a certain someone won't have control over a certain character.

I'm excited because a) what you said- Handy and Rose can have fun crazy adventures in their alt!TARDIS with alt!Jack and alt!Donna forever and He can't hurt that now! b) it's like a brand new show! New everything! c) poor Ten deserved a bit of a break, really, and there's not much lower they can go, is there? Maybe we'll get a new shiny happy Doctor.

I will be sad, though, when it actually happens onscreen.

Mmhmm, totally agreed. I'll be sad when it happens but right now it's exciting - especially the possibility of a happy Doctor! What is this concept?! People always go on about Nine being brooding and Ten being so amazing and happy and blah blah blah but it's really not true =S He's been more emotional and miserable than Nine, if you ask me.

Very true. Especially towards the end of series one, Nine was genuinely happy. And then he turned into genuinely happy Ten, for a while there, but then after everything, poor old Ten's life sort of went down the toilet.

I imagine him now, sitting in a bar somewhere getting utterly trolleyed and drunkenly telling a fellow drunkard alien stories of his woe.
