I stopped supporting them when I eventually got fed up with their sexist and objectifying ads. They're so coorporate/white/classist-- I would really recommend supporting a local or more indie animal rights org, like vegan action/etc. take care
I never liked PETA. They seem to delight too much in shocking people. There are better ways to convince people of animal rights then passing out pamphlets of butchered cows to their kids at Micky D's and posing nude in a feable attempt to bash fur. Ugh.
I have to agree with you, I've heard of them before but wouldn't dare go onto any of their links, I daren't incase they are too graffic. A weakness on my part perhaps but I'm coming from a "newbies" perspective and they scared the shit out of me! There are more rational and probably more well researched ways of making people aware.
Hi hun! thanks for the welcome. i was just wandering and came across ya. People tend to be sporadic with most postings in most groups. I was actually looking for vegetarian based groups, thinking of turning but being a BAD cook thought I'd get a bit of advice.
