The Bouquet

Title: The Bouquet 1 of ?
Rating: PG, nothing too bad. Angst... but I will include fluff later on :)
Pairing: Ohmiya
Disclaimer: I do not own Arashi yet... but we all have our dreams, right?
Note: I decided to take a new approach than what I usually do and write this Ohmiya fic in it’s own timeline without them being famous. Think of this story taking place in the late 50s or so...
I did base this story off of one of my favourite pictures of them (which I’ll post at the end of the story ^_^) Please enjoy!

Chapter Two

Ohno’s ears perked up as he heard the familiar footsteps coming his way.

He opened his eyes and turned his head towards the man. To Ohno, this man was always so sad. Ohno waited for the man to meet his eyes before showing off his most approachable grin.
"Ohayo." Ohno greeted the man softly as he drew near.

Nino felt his heart break with that inviting smile... that voice...

"Ohayo." Nino greeted him back with a slight nod. Nino got used to this routine. Simply say hello, nod, Ohno would compliment the weather and finally wish him good luck at work.

Ohno crossed his arms and looked up at the sky with the half smile Nino adored.

"I think... this has to be my favourite day. It’s so sunny..." Ohno cooed.

Nino swallowed forcefully and nodded silently.

"It... is." Nino would whisper. Nino closed his eyes, waiting for Ohno’s reply.

"Sumimasen, you need to be off to work, ne?" Ohno said with a light smile. Nino kept his eyes closed and turned away from Ohno, hurrying off down the road.

Ohno would always watch the man walk away in confusion.
He wanted to talk more to the man, make him smile... Ohno would sometimes wonder what he would look like if he was happy.

Ohno sighed to himself and scratched the side of his neck gently in thought... maybe he would ask him tomorrow.

Nino sunk against the brick wall next to the local shrine. He went here everyday, morning, lunch break, and evening when he returned from work.

He would pray for the same thing every time...

It was here by the shrine that Nino felt it was safe to finally cry.

This too was an everyday thing... he never seemed to be rid of the burdensome things.

Nino would wonder during these times if what happened was just a dream, something imaginary... it didn’t seem real at all.

He lowered his head onto his knees and ran his fingers roughly through his hair as he sobbed. Everyday it seemed like the crying had become worse, shattering the already shattered pieces of his heart.

Once he had cleaned his face up, Nino would dig into his pockets to find the lucky coins he brought from home and trudge over to the shrine.

Nino would throw the coins in as the offering and fall to his knees weakly, often bringing on more tears and sobs.

His quivering hands would pull the rope to ring the bell and he would clap his hands before desperately praying.

Today was no different.

Nino seemed to have more tears, though.

They ran down his cheeks slowly, followed by others until they dripped onto the flagstone beneath him.

He opened his swollen and bloodshot eyes and took a quivery breath.

Raising weakly to his feet, Nino shuffled over to his briefcase and picked it up.

He was used to the shaking of his insides, the coldness that had made its’ home.

Taking several deep breaths, Nino composed himself and made his way to work under the

brightly shinning sun of Spring.

***Whhaa... this is such a sad story xD I was re-reading it and I got all teary because Nino's so hurt and sad :(  and Ohno... he has no clue who Nino is.  Ohh, the world of Ohmiya is crying ;_;  but I will make it better in time :)
Thanks to everyone reading! :D***
