Funny timing, I just bought the book and started reading it yesterday. I'm make sure to think "drinking game" if I see the movie.

I'll look for that. The lord of the rings comparisons are very noticable so far, but what struck me is the similarity to Ursala LeGuin's Earthsea series. The way they use magic by saying the true names of things is totally out of her series.

I'll let you know! I'm really glad I've been in DC, it's been very fun. I will probably be down in LA at least once or twice, for Tomorrow certainly, so I'll come see you!

We just watched Tron last night at the Death Star. Eragon may be bad/funny, but there is *no way* Eragon was anywhere near as bad, or ridiculously funny, as Tron. Have you seen it? If not, a drinking game viewing with you may be in order - but we'll have to wait a few months while I recover from this viewing.

Yaay for another drinking-game movie! ;) I've heard Tron was bad, but a drinking-game viewing at some point definitely seems in order. How about some time this summer? That way I'll have my weekends mostly free. :)

If you thought Tron wasn't a bad movie, you're going to love Manos: the Hands of Fate.
