After a hard day's present-opening and involuntary gluttony, I'm sitting here with Steen's laptop idly surfing around whilst we slowly slip into a Christmas coma in front of the telly. Christmas Coma! Movies and eats and drinks and gifts sounds fantastic. Are you back at work this week or do you have more down time for New Year's? I'm back today, but it's a short 2.5 day week, and then I'm off from New Year's Eve afternoon until Jan. 5th. Woo hoo!

I'm off work until the 5th, so I am luxuriating in unabashed idleness until then (aside from the relatively minor task of tabulating the results from the Fish Xmas Poll that's been running over on the Fish forum and on the FishFans mailing list). Much of the last two days have been spent on an X-Files marathon, as Steen and I voyaged through Season 4 of the show - we hit the start of Season 5 tonight, so will be at the first feature film before we know it. What an amazing show - every time I re-watch any of it I am quite literally blown away at how little it has aged, how beautifully it was plotted and acted, and how many little clues and details I missed on earlier viewings.

With still four or five days left, we've still got time for some films, too - I've pulled out a few favourites as I threatened to do (Koyaanisqatsi, Contact, 2001, the Star Wars movies (all of 'em!) and various others are waiting in the wings), and whilst it's cold and miserable out there, I reckon there'll be many a cosy evening spent in front of the telly over ( ... )

now that you are back to the old grind (work). I think it is time for at least one of your two blogs to be updated. Considering one of them has not been done since let me say Novermbe 9, 2008 and the other 12/25/08. By the way how is the book going?

As far as the blogs are concerned though, you're right, it *is* high time. Watch this space... :-)
