The neurologist says he's recovering well. He's getting his sight back, and being responsive. He's obviously still wacked by the anesthetic, and not moving much yet, but he's really pleased with how Thomas is doing. He's on a drip at the moment, but should be given a small ammount of food about 12ish tomorrow. We'll have to see how the next 24 hours go, but he's 80% of the way there. Fingers crossed still, as he's not out of the woods just yet, but he is getting closer. Come on Thomas, you can do it boy!
He's getting better. He's walking about, although still wobbly, and he's started taking blood samples from the nurses! They've made his drip slightly longer so they don't have to get too near his claws! This is good though, as it shows he's still his old fiesty self.
He should be given some food about 5pm-ish, and they will start giving him oral medicene. That means tablets, so good luck to them! They can't hold his head to force him to take them, so their best hope is to crush it up and put it in his food, but knowing him he'll probably starve himself rather than eat the stuff!
It's all sounding very positive so far though, and couldn't be mending better. Thanks again for all your support and wishes - it means a lot to us.

I can see an executive decision on the part of the nursing staff soon that Thomas will "progress better" in the comfort of his "home environment", and whenwillyoubepickingthelittlepsychopathupplease?!?
