first, how were the journal editors supposed to know that the action wasn't approved by the whole group? That is the most obvious conclusion and it's not naive. If this group operates by consensus and someone went outside of that it's their own problem - the Journal shouldn't have to just suck it up because someone on the Other Campaign chose not to follow the group's own rules. There should at least be an official apology issued. The other thing that annoys me is that the Other Campaign is now accusing the AMS of 'using' the Journal to attack their campaign...whatever.
The stupid thing is that basically I agree with the Other Campaign...but now they're being annoying.
