After watching Maria Full of Grace, I am ashamed to call myself North American. I don't know a lot about the way drug smuggling works, and I won't pretend to be an expert after seeing a fictional movie about it. But it certainly opened my eyes to the reality of the drug war, and how impractical and inhumane the consequences are
