P.S. ANONYMOUSE IS ON
Canon Character and Series: Walter C. Dornez/Hellsing
In-Game Name: Age: 17
Gender: Male
Position & Ship (first and second choice for position please): Fiertia/Gunner (second choice: cabin boy)
Appearance:
With a slender waist and surprising hips for a male, Walter is relatively normal for a man. As a child he kept his hair short, however when he approached his teen years he started to let it grow out a bit, keeping to restrained his shoulders and even then always pulled back in a ponytail. His attire is usually simple vest suits, nothing more, and very few times anything less.
Personality:
His personality comes off cool and collected. Underneath it all, however, he’s easily annoyed and flustered and certain things, and dislikes being taunted or made fun of. This doesn’t mean he’s above doing the taunting himself. This might come from the time he spent on the streets or, perhaps, his time with the ‘Geese’. Regardless he makes it a point to pick out flaws in everyone he happens to come across, only being unsuccessful twice.
In battle he is usually calm and level headed until someone pokes at his own weaknesses and taunts him. He’ll attack without thinking twice about the things important in battle, especially when using his wire technique. This makes him similar in aspects to a lose canon. Controlling his temper or outright sadistic behavior on the battlefield is something no one has been able to control, and something Alucard enjoyed to provoke.
As far as loyalty goes, and as far as is known, he’s loyal even after he’s gone. He spills no secrets and, thus far, has yet to clash heads with anyone he’s been affiliated with. So they say.
Walter has a slight accent, exaggerated with slang sometimes, though it almost passes through, and has a slightly odd speech pattern, loving to abuse certain words more than others to get his point across.
He enjoys challenges and cigarettes, though alcohol is a general dislike for him.
Abilities/Weapons:
His weapon of choice, oddly enough, is invisible fishing wire. He’s master the technique to an extent that he can cut apples and wood directly in half without much of a second flick of his wrists. At the moment he is incapable of cutting a human directly in half, having issues with calculating the amount of force needed for anyone over 90 pounds. As most, and due to training in the Wild Geese, he can also use a gun.
How well can your character hack?: Moderately. He had to learn in the Hellsing mansion in order to complete some of the missions handed down to him. Sometimes the head of the house enjoyed messing with him, as well, and simply locked basic information away. Arguably this would have been a training technique had it not been for the man’s mannerisms.
Weaknesses:
Walter’s primary weaknesses are his quick temper and how easily he gets distracted when certain people are around (like Girly/Alucard for example. And sometimes Pip by default). He also has an issue calculating force for his main weapon of choice and is easily provoked into battle or argument.
History:
When Walter was young his parents had abandoned him in the streets, not being able to afford a child any longer than they had. Walter raised himself by observing others and how they met ends meet without having any money or family. He learned by watching that, in order to survive, he had to learn simple tricks for stealing food, but simply snatching items and running only seemed to work once in a while. He remembered from the times he used to sneak into shows how a magician would make things float. When the sun was in a slight angle he noticed that the magician had been using invisible fishing wire, most likely with a stagehand in the back. He practiced this skill day in an day out for use in solo purposes, becoming skilled enough to eventually remove apples from shelves and eventually even change purses from pockets right in broad daylight.
On a usual day he ended up getting caught by someone, a man by the name of Pip Bernadette. Of course Walter was more than upset with himself, and lashed at the man for a good minute or so. Despite all the ruckus he created (and the number of times he insulted Pip) the elder made Walter an offer he couldn‘t very well refuse. It was a way off of the streets and it would be idiotic to pass up. After becoming a member of the ‘Wild Geese’ Walter found himself learning more about guns, his wires still primarily his focus in private, and immediately took a liking to them. Guns were for the weak but the amount of damage one bullet could do to a single human being amused him. It was in his sadistic nature to enjoy these things, no matter how pacifistic or uncaring he tried to make himself seem. Over time, regardless, Walters ‘piano-wire’ techniques were good enough to cut things like branches to full grown trees in half. Humans he still had an issue with due to circumstances like neglecting to include armor into the strength he pulled the wires with, or even weight and bone density.
Having a few things in common, Walter and Pip seemed to get along just fine. Walter’s love of cigarettes can be blamed on Pip, This didn’t mean the boy didn’t enjoy grating on his superiors nerved, nor did it mean he was above taunting him. Walter did just fine in the ‘Geese’, enjoying himself, glad that someone took him off of the streets. After a while, however, Walter felt it was pointless for him to stick around any longer. He knew that it was a nice thing he had going there, but it was too confusing for the moment and he had trouble focusing. Fortunately, due to events that had occurred, Walter had a good reason to blame his departure on Pip, not in public of course, and left for what was supposed to be a much easier life as a butler.
His time there was much more brief than the time he had spent with the ‘Geese’, and he found it twice as tedious. There was someone he had to deal with who was twenty times more annoying. Of course originally he had auditioned for the role of a butler, not wanting, nor in the mood, for bloodshed. Despite this the tasks he was prompted to complete there were not much different than the ones he had previously, though these ones were much more secretive and no one knew about them, barely even in rumor.
As before he eventually got bored with this endeavor and went to try his hand at gunning elsewhere, with his brief knowledge of doing so with the Geese. With his luck, however, he found himself aboard a ship with the supposed reason he had gone to be a butler in the first place.
