So I guess my plan of getting a manual WRX went down the shitter because my dad doesn't like riding in my car. That's pretty much the whole thing in one sentence. I still have a nice car, but that won't keep me from thinking "too bad it's an automatic" everytime i get in it ( Read more... )

sucks about not getting a manual wrx... but really yeah.. cant complain. and it's cool that you are learning stick, that's something i think would be cool to learn... but how?

at least you're not in john's situation, where you HAD a manual WRX...THAT sucked. ;)

that's the other problem.. in the first year, the car has lost like $8k in value.

Colleen - yeah, that's definitely a much worse situation :/

I think I might just say to hell with it and go to Florida. Why the hell not.

Yeah no worries, manual is still better. Yeah on hills all you have to do is downshift. I'll miss all y'all when you're in Florida!!

don't fret it, there is still a ton you can learn without ever changing a gear. i have to lend you the solo book as soon as al finishes it, it can teach you a lot. of course, if you are going to get a new car look for a 240 or 86, the 86 in particular can teach you a lot. anyway, keep it real!
