As of Aug 21st, 2005 this community is going MEMBERS ONLY. You must join to post or view pictures from this point forward. I regret that this step has to be taken, but due to various issues that have come up in the various hires_ communities, we have collectively decided to do this. This also protects us a bit more from the eyes of the various

Regarding the above comment, if someone has joined, aren't they a member? I think I am confused by people's confusion.

Yeah, each time a person joins, they automatically become a member - period.

Just to clear up if there's confusion for others. There are two ways to be in the community. One is to monitor the community - that option will not allow people to post an entry in this community and if the entries are "friends" only, so the people who's monitoring ONLY won't be able to view the friends-locked entries.

Other option is to become a member by joining this community. That way they can view the entries that are friends-locked only.

I understand that as well, that is what I do in my community as well. I am joining this BTW. But can you please answer me this question. I dont use imageshack. I have a paid account through PhotoBucket. Is that a problem with the community. I usually always post any picture under a LJ Cut too. So please tell me if this alright or do I need Imageshack.

Photobucket is fine if you prefer that one... as long as it makes thumbnails. You must post thumbnails, and put most of the pictures (more than 3) behind a cut. That's all!

the reason I prefer Imageshack is that the pictures are hosted indefinately whereas you will delete yours when you run out of space or when your paid account lapses (I believe).

Cool. And I have Photobucket definately for a year and half. And I will renew before my account is back to free status. And thanks for being cool with that.

is membership moderated? i just tried to join but it wont let me see any friends only posts. maybe i jsut need to give it a sex, but i just wanted to check if it was moderated thing or not.

^ Ditto, I'm having trouble too. I've tried it three times, and every time it says that the community's been added to my friends list, but still can't see nuttin'. :/

I think you are adding the communtity to your frinds list but not joining the community...click on the "To join click here".
