I agree, it is disappointing when he doesn't play. I mean I know he usually does one a year (normally to keep them up) but if he dedicated himself to it just for one year they would have a great shot of winning. Stans been doing great and they play well together and Roger obviously enjoys the camaraderie of the team when he's there. I know most players will always put other events ahead of Davis Cup but I would like to see him commit a bit more. He should take a leaf out of AndyRs book on this one!

Really though the whole Davis Cup timetable needs to be changed. It would be much more effective if it were played say once every 2/3 years or even condensed so it could be played over 2 weeks every few years. I always think every year is too often.

I hadn't realised it was tennis season until I read your post! I must catch up on whats going on. I've been in mourning for Marat so haven't been paying much attention.
