New Years day, reflections and pictures

Jan 01, 2010 15:45

So, it's pretty typical around the New Year to ruminate and reminisce, compare and contrast, etc. Not only is everyone else doing it, but I'm very much at a point where a verbalized self-check is a very helpful thing, so here goes.

Long, reasonably organized, might be interesting )

"Acceptance is hard sometimes. I like to fight, it's very much in me to be a fighter, and I'd rather fight than just accept unwelcome situations."

As you know, I have the same difficulty. My current circumstances are forcing me to figure this out, and I think I'm making progress. If you come up with any great insights on it let me know.

I believe we create our own existence, even the bad parts. It's so nice to hear that you're in the process of creating your own, consciously.

I think fighting can be good for survival sometimes it's just figuring out where to apply it. Not that I can speak on the subject as my Irish temper has always gotten the better of me. I honestly at this point in my life can't even figure out anymore what I want to change, somewhere along the way it just got to the point where it may be everything.

Try not to be too hard on yourself. We all have a lot of baggage just remember what you have going for you. Knowing what you need to change is a good start, just try to remember all of the good things you already possess. You are creative, artistic (I still have my hat),resourceful and although I've not met you in person you have an amazing personality. Don't let yourself start to believe that you don't. I hope this next year brings a lot of joy and change for the better.
