I've just discovered this artist from the 1700's who did a number of paintings as well as satirical engravings. His satirical art is quite funny, but even in his serious engravings, he seems to have an odd sense of style and humor.

How fun, how bizarre, and how detailed. Those are wonderous black and white works. I've heard of the guy from the Ninja Mountain podcast. Now I know why they rave about his work.

I've seen the first one, I remember the falling baby. It's funny how people from those times seem so stuffy and serious, but the artists and writers could be pretty absurd and weird.
