Summary: Going to boot camp will drastically change their lives.
Chap. 3:
Doojoon stood in shock, mouth hanging open. He wasn't sure what to do. Running away would be great, but he couldn't seem to make his legs move. His recruits stood there, staring at him. Junhyung was in about as much shock as his sergeant. For what seemed like forever, they stood there, motionless. When Doojoon could move, he turned and walked out, heading to wherever he could get.
"You know what you're saying?" Yoseob asked, whispering. "You're saying that the sergeant is gay. That he's into you."
"You try listening to him once. He said something about breaking up with his girlfriend, too. It's weird. How the hell am I supposed to react?" Junhyung babbled.
Why am I talking so much? Junhyung asked himself. I've never spoken this much. Not even when I'm nervous. So Why now?
Hyunseung waltzed out of the building, easily spotting his sergeant. He sprinted after him, not completely sure as to why he was. When he was closed enough to be heard, he spoke.
"Sergeant, may I talk to you?" Hyunseung asked, coming up behind him.
Doojoon refused to look at him. "About what, Jang?" he replied.
"Is what Junhyung said about you true?"
"Yeah, it is." Doojoon turned to look at his recruit. "What of it?"
"I was just wondering, sir." Hyunseung and Doojoon stood there, not talking for over ten minutes. Just when he turned to leave, Doojoon heard hyunseung speak. "You're not the only one who is like that, you know."
"What do you mean?"
"I like someone here, too. I like Kwon from Sergeant T.O.P's recruits. He and I are going kareokeing tomorrow, just the two of us. And Mir, from Sergeant Seungho's recuits, likes Dongwoon. Earlier today, Junhyung and Kikwang caught them kissing."
"Why are you telling me all of this?"
"I thought you should know that you're not the only one who feels a strong pull towards someone." Hyunseung looked down, his face flushing. "Even if we are all guys."
Doojoon smiled a little. "Thanks, Jang. I appreciate you saying that. Can you ask Junhyung to come to my room after a while? I need to talk to him."
"Sure thing, sir. I'll tell him right away." Hyunseung practically skipped back to the barracks. He opened the door to find his friends fighting.
"I'm just saying that you were being mean!" Dongwoon shouted at Yoseob.
"I was not! All i said was that I'm absolutely alone here! You're all homos!" Yoseob shouted back.
"You know what, Yoseob?" Kikwang asked, turning to look at the blond. Before Yoseob could do anything, he felt Kikwang's lips touch his. His eyes widened at the sudden contact.
"Way to go, hyung!" Dongwoon cheered, giving Kikwang a high-five.
"Yoseob?" Junhyung asked, waving his hand in front of the younger guy's face. No response. Junhyung laughed, turning to Kikwang. "Good job, Kikwang. You shocked him."
"Seobbie?" kikwang stood before him, staring worriedly into the blond's eyes. "Seobbie, please snap out of it."
"You kissed me! How am I supposed to react?! I'm not a homo!" Yoseob shouted. He stopped after realizing that he may have really hurt Kikwang's feelings. "I'm sorry. I was shocked...and..."
"Just forget it, hyung." Kikwang turned and went to his cot, flopping down on it with a defeated expression on his face.
"By the way, Junhyung," Hyunseung started.
"What?" Junhyung replied, a voice in his head shouting at him to keep quiet.
"Yoon wants to see you in his office." After pausing, he smiled. "In his personal office."
Junhyung rolled his eyes, turning to leave when something caught his eye. Yoseob was staring weirdly at Kikwang. He nudge the blond, nodding on the direction of Kikwang.
"Go talk to him," he ordered in a whisper. Yoseob slowly walked forward as Junhyung left the barracks, heading for Doojoon's room. He got to the door, knocking loudly. Doojoon opened it, knowing that it would be Junhyung.
"Come in, please," Doojoon said, stepping back. After Junhyung entered, he closed the dorr.
"I'm sorry that I said what I did," Junhyung apologized immediately. He reached around Doojoon, locking the door. "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" He smirked before Doojoon closed the space between them, kissing him fully.
"Kikwang, can I talk to you?" "Yoseob asked, crouching by his cot. Kikwang rolled over, completely ignoring him. Yoseob sighed, finally letting go of all of his resolve. He pulled Kikwang, forcing him onto his back. He climbed onto the cot, pinning the younger to the mattress. "Talk to me already!"
"Why should I? You'll only make fun of me for being like this and make me feel bad again! So why bother even-" Kikwang was interrupted by Yoseob. His lips were forced to still, his anger diffusing so easily. Hyunseung whistled and Dongwoon could only stare.
"You just kissed him! After all that talk about not being normal a if a guy liked another guy..." Dongwoon said, totally baffled.
Yoseob grinned at him. "I guess I'm not normal, then." He looked down at Kikwang. "Want to go somewhere and talk?" He took Kikwang's smile as confirmation. Grabbing his hand, the blond led them out of the barracks, almost bumping into one of the guys from another group.
"Hey, you ready yet, Dongwoon?" Mir asked. "We're heading out now."
"Yeah, let me get my camera." Dongwoon rushed over to his closet and threw open the doors. On his way to the door, Hyunseung winked at him, making his face flush.
"Have fun," Hyunseung called after them. They both smiled back as they left him alone. He sighed as the door banged closed. "Why do I have to wait for my romance tomorrow?!" He decided fairly quickly that instead of complaining about it, he'd better walk around or train through the course some more.
"Come over here!" Taeyang hollered as soon as Hyunseung stepped outside. He couldn't help but grin at him.
"Hyunseung, come join us!" G Dragon shouted, too. "We're about to head to a lake nearby for some swimming!"
Hyunseung reached the others, his small smile fading. "You really want me to join you?" he asked.
"Sure. Where's the others?" Seungri replied, wrapping his arms around Daesung's waist.
"They're all busy. Kikwang and Yoseob went to talk somewhere; Junhyung is with Sergeant Yoon; and Dongwoon went with Mir. I'm the only one left."
"Then you should hang with us today," Daesung said, absentmindedly linking his fingers with Seungri's. "Taeyang was going to ask if our sergeant wanted to join us." G.O, Joon, and Cheondoong walked up, all seeming to pout.
"Why does Mir get all the love? He should get it last! He's the youngest!" Cheondoong whined.
"It's only because he likes a guy younger than him. Lighten up," G.O said, patting Cheondoong's shoulder.
"If you guys have nothing to do, want to join us for some swimming?" G Dragon asked.
"Really?" Joon asked. "You'd let us come?"
"Sure. Why wouldn't we?" Taeyang said. He looked over his shoulder, smiling as their sergeants came walking over together. "Sergeants, would you like to join us for some swimming?"
Seungho and T.O.P passed a glance between each other before they both replied in unison. "We don't have anything better to do."
"This turned out better than expected!" Seungri chimed. "Off to the lake!"
Everyone laughed at his enthusiasm, but complied. On their way to the lake, they watched as various recruits tried the obstacle course, some failing miserably. Across the small field, Yoseob and Kikwang were sitting at a table. The inly indication that it was the two of them was the blindingly bright blond hair. Doojoon and Junhyung were still inside the sergeants' barracks. Mir and Dongwoon were happily walking along the road, chatting and laughing merrily.
"Everything is so nice now," Hyunseung commented.
"I told you it'd get nice after we stopped jogging, hyung," Seungri reminded him.
"Oh, yeah, you did say that." He noticed that Daesung and Seungri were opening holding hands in front of everyone, even the sergeants. "You two are bold."
Deasung shrugged. "Our preferences aren't a problem for our sergeant."
"As long as I don't hear about your sex lives, it's not a problem," T.O.P corrected. "Who you love has nothing to do with me whatsoever."
"You only say that because you and Taeyang hooked up," G Dragon laughed. He watched Taeyang's and T.O.P's faces turn red, and laughed harder.
"It's fine with, too," Seungho said, reaching for G.O's hand. G.O smiled, linking his fingers with Seungho happily.
"If Yoseob hadn't given into his own feelings, this would totally make him spaz," Hyunseung joked. He shook his head to get his hair out of his eyes.
"Will you give me a piggyback ride, Joon?" Cheondoong asked.
"Hop on," Joon answered, bending his knees a little. Hyunseung groaned, walking a little faster than everyone else. "What's wrong?"
"Being around all of you is making me depressed. I don't have anyone..." Hyunseung trailed off before he ended up crying.
"That's what I'm here for," G Dragon whispered, wrapping an arm around the other's waist and pulling him to his side. Hyunseung felt his face flush when he looked at G Dragon. He couldn't help but smile once he noticed the other meant it. He felt happy knowing he never had to be alone.
"Why did you tell them about us?" "Doojoon asked, running his hand through his messy hair. He sat on his bed with Junhyung leaning against him.
"I didn't tell them about us. I told them you kissed me," he replied, tracing the lines on Doojoon's palm.
"You should've kept quiet about it. They wouldn't understand it."
"They understand more than you know, Doojoon. Kikwang likes Yoseob; Dongwoon likes Mir from Seungho's recruits. Who know who Hyunseung likes."
"So, we're all not normal? Who knew I'd get put with recruits like myself?"
Junhyung stared into Doojoon's eyes when he responded. "Why aren't we normal? Just because we prefer men, doesn't make us abnormal. It's perfectly normal to be in love with someone. The heart knows nos boundaries. It doesn't care if a person is male or female. You love who you love."
Doojoon smiled at Junhyung's words before kissing him. "Thank you, Junhyung. You are the first person to ever tell me that I'm normal, even though I like guys."
"I only said it 'cause it's true."
"Should we go for a walk?"
"Sure."
They left Doojoon's room and headed for the tables outside. They spotted Kikwang and Yoseob at one and walked toward them. The two younger ones greeted them happily and asked them to join, so they sat down beside each other.
"You get things settled?" Junhyung asked Yoseob.
"We sure did, hyung!" Kikwang answered first. He smiled shyly at Yoseob.
"You don't mind if we date, do you?" Yoseob asked Doojoon.
"Not at all. In fact, I have a significant other myself," he replied, grabbing Junhyung's hand under the table.
"Really? Who?"
"Me, you Banana Head," Junhyung said. He pulled their clasped hands from under the table and set them more comfortably on the top of it. kikwang and Yoseob stared at their joint hands. "What?"
"You're...?" Yoseob attempted to speak.
"I'm dating Doojoon. So what?"
"You're dating the sergeant?!" Kikwang squealed.
"Shhhh! Before you get us caught. If we go down, you're going down with us!" Doojoon barked. "We just made it official. Where's the others?"
"Dongwoon took off with Mir and Hyunseung left to go swimming with Seungho, T.O.P and their recruits. Should we round up Dongwoon and Mir to follow the others to the lake?"
"Sure. Let's get them."
It didn't take long to find them. However, once they did, they found it impossible to approach them. They felt like they were trespassing. Mir was lying in the shade of a tree, his head resting peacefully on Dongwoon's lap. Dongwoon was leaning against the tree and they both had their eyes closed. Instead of disturbing the couple, they headed to the barracks to leave a note for them. They headed to the lake, each of the couples holding hands.
