Rating: PG-13
Pairings: KyuMin, Hanchul, HeeWook
Summary: Ryeowook and Sungmin are close, too close for some people's liking.... jealousy and hate are two very dangerous emotions and they're embedded in the hearts of two very dangerous people. High school is tough enough but when you have someone who is obsessing over you, it can make things worse tenfold....

Chapter Three:
     A little while later, Sungmin brought a bowl of food to Ryeowook; it was something simple and soft so it wouldn't hurt his throat or something. He sat it down and sat by Ryeowook, petting his head. "How're you feeling Wookie?" he asked.
     Ryeowook smiled at him much like a child. "Thanks Minnie," he said reaching for the food. "Please call my Umma and tell her what happened... I want to stay here though," he mumbled.
     "Alright...." Sungmin said going to do so.

At his own home, Kyuhyun sat on his bed, staring at the wall. Aish I may have totally screwed up! he thought. What if Heechul finds out it was me? Then what? Our plan will be over and still no Sungmin. He groaned in frustration and got off the bed, pacing his room a bit. "And everyone's seen Hee mad but probably not as mad as he can get..." he said and for once in his life, he was actually scared of Heechul's temper.

Across the city, Heechul stood in his shower. He let the water hit his face as he thought about the day. He thought about Ryeowook's frail form in his lap on the way to the hospital, about how worried Sungmin was........ Is there something there? Are they possibly more than friends? Crossed his mind more than once. He thought about Kangin.... and the knife. How he could have easily been raped or killed had Hankyung not shown up. And yet only hours before they were at each others' throats with Heechul leaving Hankyung......
     "If it'd been me I wouldn't have come back after being treated how I did to him," he mumbled, opening his eyes. He jumped when he felt arms slip around him, not having heard Hankyung come in the room. He turned and hugged him. "How do you always manage to come to me just when I need you?" he mumbled, enjoying the feeling of the warm water while he hugged him.
     "Because..... That's what I'm here for.... I made a promise to you to never hurt you again after I left. I left you behind, knowing it would hurt you.... but I never knew how bad until your Umma called me that day.... I love you, Chul, I'll protect you...." he said. Heechul didn't look up at him. He bit his lip, willing his eyes to listen to him and not cry, but they betrayed him. He tightened his grip on Hankyung, a silent plea to never leave him. Hankyung hugged him tighter, hating that once again, he was the cause of Heechul's tears.

The next day at school, Kyuhyun sat beside Heechul in class, waiting for the other to speak to him about something, anything, to make him relax. The elder just sat there silently, paying attention for once. It was too quiet for Kyuhyun just sitting there without talking. Sighing, he took out his phone and decided to text someone.

To: Hae

Text: Hae, want to skip school and do something?

Ten minutes later, he was still awaiting a reply from his so-called friend. Getting irritated, he stood up, drawing attention to himself. Ignoring the teacher’s order to sit back down, he walked out of the room, heading for the stairs that led to the roof. Climbing them, he strode outside into the late morning sunshine. Dialing a number, he placed his phone to his ear.
     “Hae, I really wish you would talk to me. I did something and it’s driving me insane. I’m not sure how long I can stand not having someone else know what I did. If I get caught, I could be hurt or thrown into jail. Please, Hae, call me back.”
     “What did you do that’s so terrible that you could be hurt or imprisoned?” someone asked, causing Kyuhyun to jump.
     “W-who are you?” Kyuhyun turned, facing the stranger.
     Blowing out smoke in a big huff, the other smiled. “I’m Hankyung. Just call me hyung or something. Do you know when Heechul gets out of class?”
     “No, but I can text him and have him come up here.”
     “I can do that, too.” Hankyung smiled at the startled look on the younger’s face. “I don’t mean to be so rude or cruel. I just haven’t had a good twenty-four hours. I came back from China to find the guy I love crushing on someone else, then the guy he’s crushing on gets jumped and I have to take him to the hospital. After that, Chul and I get into a screaming match and he almost gets hurt. It’s been stressful.”
     Staring at the elder, Kyuhyun inhaled and exhaled slower than he should have. “W-who was jumped?”
     “A person Chul calls Wookie. Someone jumped him, but he won’t tell Chul or the other guy who it was.”
     Kyuhyun felt the blood drain from his face and turned around quickly. He didn't tell them?! Great that makes things so much worse! he thought and yelped when Hankyung grabbed his shoulder.
     "It was you......." he said looking at him from behind his sunglasses. Kyuhyun suddenly felt really tiny.
     "Um... No," he said. Hankyung backed off a bit.
     "I..... don't believe you one moment, but I won't say anything... Because if I do it'll ruin it. I'd rather let Heechul wait to find out and his anger be worse. I don't know what that boy is to my Chul but you're in for it," he said taking another draw off of his cigarette. Kyuhyun glared at him.
     "I'd rather you told him," he muttered.
     "Told me what?" Heechul said standing in the doorway.
     Kyuhyun frowned. "Nothing...... just something stupid," he said.
     Heechul rolled his eyes. "Well, I see you met Hannie.... You should go talk with Sungmin while he's alone. As soon as school lets out he's going to see Ryeowook," he said with an angry look on his face. He walked over and hugged Hankyung, giving him a kiss after he exhaled. Kyuhyun was stunned beyond words.
"B-but I thought...... What?" he said totally confused. "I thought you liked Ryeowook?" he said.
     Heechul shot him a glare. "You thought wrong. Hannie's my lover, Kyuhyun. Get your facts straight," he said angrily. Hankyung pushed Heechul away and walked to the door.
     "I'm heading home Chul.... We'll talk later," he said in Chinese.
     When the door shut, Heechul rounded on Kyuhyun. "What the fuck, Kyuhyun?! When you see me kissing Hankyung what makes you think it's alright to talk about me liking someone else genius?! Now you owe me big time and you're going to hate every minute of it until I can fix this!" he growled.
     Kyuhyun frowned as Heechul walked away and slammed the door. "Aish what a bad day," he groaned dreading how peeved Heechul would be at him later on.

In the classroom, Sungmin sat banging his head on the desk. Time was going so slowly for him at the moment. He looked up as the door opened and slammed against the wall and Heechul walked in, shoving the teacher out of the way.
     "If anyone in here knows who the fuck hurt Ryeowook tell me now or die! And also.. someone with a video camera on their phone, start recording right now!" he growled. About six phones popped out and Heechul walked over to Sungmin, shocking and scaring the bunny. He pulled him to his feet and kissed him full on the mouth just as Kyuhyun walked through the door.
     Stopping abruptly, Kyuhyun felt his heart clench and twist painfully. He wanted to walk over and pull Sungmin away, but for some reason, his legs refused to move. He could only stare at the sight as other students hooted and hollered. His blood slowly began to boil.
     “Kiss me back, damn you,” Heechul whispered against the younger’s lips. Feeling nothing but afraid of the elder, Sungmin closed his eyes as he placed his hands on either side of Heechul’s face. The effort Sungmin put into the kiss made Heechul smile. Pulling away, only a thin line of saliva connected the two.
     Seeing Sungmin and Heechul kiss made Kyuhyun go nearly as pale as when Hankyung found out he was the cause of Ryeowook’s injuries. He leaned unsteadily against a desk, gripping the edge until his knuckles turned white. Walking through the hall, Eunhyuk stopped when he noticed Kyuhyun so pale and rigid. Walking in unnoticed, he tried to get the other’s attention.
     “Kyuhyun, are you okay?” he asked, waving his hand in front for Kyuhyun’s stony eyes. When the other didn’t reply, he began to worry. “Kyuhyun, what’s the matter?” Following his gaze, Eunhyuk caught sight of Heechul and Sungmin so close, his eyes widened. “Oh.” Pulling Kyuhyun from the room, Eunhyuk rushed him down the hall and outside. Donghae was waiting in his car.
     “Eunhyukkie, why did you bring Kyuhyun with you?” Donghae asked, frowning. When he noticed how pale Kyuhyun was, he got out of his car. “Whoa, Kyu, what’s wrong?”
     “Heechul and Sungmin shared an all too intimate kiss in front of him. I think he’s gone into shock.”
     “Let’s take him to the hospital. Maybe they can give him something to make him better.” Helping Eunhyuk get the other into the backseat, Donghae climbed in behind the wheel and started the engine. “Stay in the back with him, please. We’ll be there in no time.” Flooring the accelerator, Donghae rushed to the hospital.

Back in class, Heechul licked him lips, getting rid of the line of saliva that connected his mouth to Sungmin’s. Ruffling the bunny boy’s hair, he smirked as he waltzed away. Sungmin just stood where he was, feeling lightheaded and confused. He watched the other leave as his heart pounded, threatening to beat out of his chest.
     Why did he kiss me? I thought he likes Wookie and Hankyung, Sungmin thought to himself. He frowned, wiping his mouth on the back of his hand before kneeling to get into his bag. Pulling out a travel size mouthwash, he used the whole thing in a failed attempt to rid himself of Heechul’s taste. He glared at Heechul’s back as the elder exited through the door.
     By the time that the teacher had gotten his class calmed down from Heechul's rampage, it was time for school to let out. Sungmin immediately left the classroom and squeaked when someone grabbed his hand as soon as he got out of the room. He almost hit whoever it was but felt the color drain from him when he once again was face-to-face to Heechul. "Listen Bunny. If I ever need your services again be ready... You don't have to worry though, you're not my type. I may cross dress occasionally but your love of pink and feminine nature makes me wanna puke." He said turning and leaving a stunned Sungmin in the hallway.

At the hospital, Kyuhyun was glaring at Donghae and Eunhyuk as the doctor poked and prodded him. "There's nothing wrong with me!" he growled. The doctor asked Eunhyuk instead. "What exactly happened?" he asked.
     "Well....... Kyu saw a gay intimate moment that involved his crushI'mgonnagonowbeforehekillsme," he said dragging Kyuhyun and Donghae away. They passed Sungmin on the way out and they had to hold Kyuhyun back from going to 'talk' to him. Sungmin ignored them, blushing, and continued to Ryeowook's room. When he got there, he was sitting up in bed.
     "Hi Min," he said smiling. Sungmin hated seeing him smile with all those injuries. He walked over and hugged Ryeowook.
     "How're you feeling?" he asked when he pulled back.
     "Better..... The food here's terrible though," Ryeowook said making a face. Sungmin laughed and opened his mouth to ask but Ryeowook beat him to it. "I won't tell you Sungmin... nothing personal, it's safer this way," he said. "For both of us."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Sighing, Heechul closed the door to his house and found his mother was in the kitchen cooking, but Hankyung was sitting on the couch in the living room. He got up and headed upstairs to Heechul's room and Heechul understood the silent command to follow him. He dropped his bag in his room once there and shut the door. "What is it Hankyung?" Heechul asked, voice tired.
     "Do you really have to ask? First you lie to me, then I find out from some nutcase you actually like Ryeowook and now you're going around making out with that other boy? I was still on campus when that happened Chul!" he said angrily.
     Heechul sat on his bed and crossed his legs, frowning. "I know you hadn't left. I did it to get back at Kyuhyun for screwing up!" he said simply.
     “That doesn’t mean you can just kiss everyone you see!” Hankyung heard his own voice rise, but he wasn’t sure if he could control it. He was nearing his limits with Heechul and he knew that was bad news. Sighing, he turned away, glaring out the window instead of at Heechul.
     Feeling the seriousness of the cold atmosphere, Heechul stood, walking to stand behind Hankyung. Wrapping his arms around the other’s waist, he placed a kiss to Hankyung’s shoulder blade. “Hannie, I’m sorry. Really I am. You know how I get, but you still put up with me.”
     “I’m running out of patience and finding it harder to forgive you, Chul. Why can’t things be the way they once were?” He stared at their reflection in the window, his frown seeming to be etched permanently onto his face. “I’m not sure how much more of this I can take.”
     “Please, Han, don’t leave me. I was a mess when you left to return to China. Please don’t do that again.” Heechul sniffled, feeling a stray tear run down his cheek. “I can’t live without you, Hannie. You’re a drug that I’ll be addicted to for the rest of my life.”
     Turning in the circle of Heechul’s arms, Hankyung pulled him closer, burying Heechul’s face into his chest. “Please don’t cry, Chul. I’m sorry for getting mad at you, but hell, my temper is almost as bad as yours.”
     “Just don’t leave me like you did last year, Hannie. I don’t want to lose you.”
     “Then don’t kiss anyone else, Chul. Don’t kiss anyone but me.”
     Nodding in agreement, Heechul kissed Hankyung. “I won’t betray your trust, Hannie.”
     Smiling back, Hankyung hugged Heechul tighter, nearly constricting his air. “I love you, Chul. Now, let’s go see what your mom is making.”
Sungmin opened his eyes, finding that he had dozed off in Ryeowook’s room at the hospital. He smiled sadly at the sight of his friend. Pecking the still sleeping boy on the forehead, Sungmin left the room, hoping to get some feeling back into his legs. Walking around the corner, he bumped into someone. He would have fallen if the stranger hadn’t grabbed his arm. Looking up, Sungmin felt a wave of uneasiness at the look in the stranger’s eyes.
     Pulling out his phone, the stranger opened a message, playing the video he had received from a person at school. Smirking, he pulled Sungmin with him. “So, I’ve found you. Heechul isn’t going to be happy about this.”
     “W-who are you?” Sungmin tried to sound brave, but his voice was just a mere squeak. If he were honest with himself, he was completely intimidated by this person who was dragging him away with no effort.
     “My name is Kangin. Heechul will probably do just about anything to get you back. After all, you and he seemed pretty close in this video my friend sent me.”
     “You’ve misunderstood. Heechul has no feelings for me whatsoever. He likes someone else.”
     “You can’t escape the facts, kid.” Kangin showed Sungmin the video taken earlier that day. It sure looked as if Heechul liked him the way they had kissed. Sungmin felt his heart dangerously close to stopping.
     I’m in trouble, Sungmin thought, panic starting to bubble up inside of him. Sungmin struggled against Kangin’s hold. “We’re in a freaking hospital, show some respect. I don’t even like Heechul. He made me kiss him to get back at someone else!” he hissed, but this guy was like talking to bricks… except with bricks you’d get a response.
Heechul sat up from the bed where he’d been resting comfortably on Hankyung’s stomach. “What is it, Chul? I was almost asleep,” he mumbled.
     Heechul frowned. “Something feels off….. I can’t figure it out,” he said. He was always right about things like this. Well….. In general. He looked at Hankyung. “Maybe something’s off with Ryeowookie,” he said. A look of hurt crossed Hankyung’s face, but it vanished when he saw the genuine worry on Heechul’s features.
     “Should we go to the hospital?” he asked and Heechul’s answer was to get up and slip shoes on.
At the hospital, Leeteuk saw Kangin and Sungmin and called Sungmin’s name. “Glad I caught you before you left….. I wanted to talk with you about Ryeowook’s release papers for when his ribs get a little better,” he said. Kangin pushed Sungmin in front of him, but didn’t let go of him. Sungmin nodded, listening to Leeteuk. He asked questions whenever possible, trying to tell Leeteuk with his eyes that he was not planning to leave with Kangin.
     “Yah!” They looked up as Heechul rounded the corner full speed, running towards Sungmin and Kangin. “You let him go, you bastard!” he shouted, pushing Sungmin out of the way and barreling into Kangin, shocking Leeteuk speechless. Hankyung rounded the corner after and headed towards them. He spoke quickly to Leeteuk to call the cops.
     At the mention of the police, Kangin pushed Heechul off of him, getting up. “Pretty sad when the princess has to save the other guy,” he growled.
     Heechul glared at him as he backed Sungmin up with Hankyung. “Let’s get out of here,” he said angrily, heading to Ryeowook’s room. Nearing the room, they heard a crash coming from within. Reaching for the door, Sungmin stopped when he heard something hit the wall. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door.
     “Nobody gives a damn about you,” Ryeowook hissed. He was standing, arms crossed over his chest, glaring down at a heap on the floor. Broken glass was scattered on the ground near his feet, red droplets mixed in with the shards. “You think you’re so great, yet you cower at getting hit once. I wouldn’t even spit in your direction.”
     “R-Ryeowook, are you okay enough to be up?” Sungmin asked, taking a few steps into the room.
     “I’m fine, Min. Go back and wait in the hall until I’m done with this trash.”
     Glaring up, the heap decided to finally speak. “I am not trash,” Kyuhyun growled. He grabbed the nearest table and pulled himself to his feet. “And people do care about me, Ryeo-” He was cut off by Ryeowook hitting him across the face.
     “Shut the hell up, Kyuhyun. Your voice irritates me.” Ryeowook walked over and got back into his bed, closing his eyes. “Get the hell out of my room, jackass.”
     Turning to leave, Kyuhyun noticed the three by the door. He hadn’t been paying attention earlier, but now that he was, he wished to be invisible. The worried looks on their faces only made things worse as he tried to get around them. After finally getting out of the room, Kyuhyun started down the hall, staggering slightly. Leaning against the wall, he pulled out his phone.
Text: Eun, do you think you can come get me from the hospital?
He slid down into a sitting position, closing his eyes. Hearing someone walked swiftly down the hall, he looked up when the person stopped in front of him. Sungmin knelt in front of him, eyes wide upon staring at Kyuhyun’s face. Kyuhyun had a gash near his left temple, blood trickling down his cheek. His lip has a small cut, blood seeping from it as well.
     “Kyuhyun, are you okay?” Sungmin asked, his voice just a whisper. He reached out to brush his fingers over the other’s lip, startled when Kyuhyun stopped him.
     “What do you want, Sungmin?” Kyuhyun replied, pushing the other’s hands away. His phone vibrated, signaling he had a new message. He flipped open his phone, opening the message.
To: Kyu
From: Eunhyuk
Text: Kyu, what are you doing there?
Didn’t Hae and I take you home?
Well, that doesn’t matter. I’ll be there in 10.
Replying quickly, Kyuhyun used the wall to stand up. He started to walk away before Sungmin grabbed his arm. He turned to look back at the bunny boy, an annoyed expression starting to creep onto his face. Just as he opened his mouth to order Sungmin to let him go, he felt arms wind around his waist.
     “I wish I knew the reason for you being so hateful and cold to everyone.”
     “Sungmin, let go. I need to leave.” Trying to pull himself free, Kyuhyun didn’t expect what happened next. Without warning, Sungmin crushed his lips against Kyuhyun’s, stunning him. When Sungmin pulled away, he kept his eyes downcast.
     “I should get back to Ryeowook. I’ll see you at school, Kyuhyun.” Before Kyuhyun could react, Sungmin fled, hurrying down the hall and ducking into the room from which he came.
