Alas, poor New Orleans... it seemed as though the French Quarter was to be spared the day Katrina hit, but the after-math has taken it. "Wiped out," according to the reports. Whenever a disaster happens -- anywhere else in the world --, there's a global uproar of support, almost always led by the U.S.. Being that not a single troop or dime has come ( Read more... )

California could slide into the ocean and the rest of the world wouldn't lift a finger to help us I bet. It makes me sick.

I'm just bummed that New Orleans is gone. All of that history, that rich, rich history... sucked into the ocean.

I guess that's what they get for building a city in an area next to the ocean which happens to be below sea level... BUT STILL. Ugh.

The reason the rest of the world hasnt sent
help is basically because your country is one
of the richest countries in the world compared to
others like Thailand or India that had somewhat of a
similar disaster.
It has very little to do with "hating" the United States O`wee one
but simply cos you guys can handle yourselves pretty damn good.
Also pst pst Venezuela has offered aid.. just to mention it
As for oil,oil prices here went up as well..and Bush may a fucker when it comes to foreign policy but maybe he aint such badguy when it comes to fixing shit in his own country..but what do I know eh

I need to check my LiveJournal more....

Alot has happened since I made this post... while Bush was -- in my opinion -- doing a good job initially, he messed it up shortly thereafter. As for America being rich... it isn't swimming in gold, in no way. Especially down south -- up north (where I live), we have a relatively good ecconomy, but the southern states are still dirt- poor. There's always some people with decent money, but it dosen't account for everyone. As for the federal government, they've been pumping money into far too many other things lately (I'm still against the idea of going into Iraq...).

I didn't hear about Venezuela offering aid... though Cuba offered to send doctors, which the government ignored. I guess they still don't care much for the commies... :p.

*Hugs his big sister*
