My dad wants to get me a computer for graduation. I want a Mac but he wants to get me a PC, and I'm not sure weather a laptop or a regular computer would be better in the long run. I'm going to major in art so I'm going to be doing a lot of stuff with Photoshop and maybe movie editing...stuff like that. I always thought Mac's were better for that ( Read more... )

Photoshop was designed for Mac. But you can really do just as fine with it on PC. If you're really into the computer business you could always try for Linux. But I wouldn't recommend it. As for laptop or desktop I'd say desktop. At least for the movie editing. I have a laptop and it's fine for photoshop. But movie editing might be a little bit above your hardware needs.
