On Tuesday night, I babysat my new niece who's three months old. Liv is 20 months. I thought that it would be a nice way to kind of figure out how things will be when Speck arrives

I have the same worries Hisey. You can't have my bad mother trophey however!
I'm going to figure it out hour by hour with two under 2. I just take solice in the fact that like clockwork, Connor sleeps from 8pm to 6:30am. I'll atleast have that time to deal with only one if necessary. During the day, I'm just going to smile and try not to drink too heavily. I'm also hoping that the new baby like walks as much as Connor.
I find more of the trouble is in the logistics of getting anywhere with two little ones. One baby is (surprisingly) pretty portable. A toddler and a baby... not so much. Getting in and out of the car is a pain (I grant you, I have two carseats in the backseat of a little two-door car, but still). Walks are a pain with that beast of a two-seater stroller (with one who'd prefer to be carried and another who'd prefer to run around). It'll be easier soon, though, so.
The everyday juggle of two isn't bad - they're different ages and want different things usually, although, yeah, when they both want Mommy RIGHT NOW you get a little frazzled. Really that hour before dinnertime is the worst I find, no matter if you have one or more - we call it "meltdown hour".
It's scary when they bump themselves up like that. We had a period for a bit that it seemed Aidan got a new goose egg every week. He's totally Three Feet of Danger. But they're resilient, thank god.
Well, I'll admit I'm spoiled. With Kyle being so much older than Livia, he's been pretty independent for a good chunk of time. It's not even like having two kids. Or two very small ones. :) We'll manage, and I promise not to kill any of them.
Think of this. My sister was born in 1972, I was born in 1973 and my brother was born in 1975. So she had a 3 and 2 year old at the same time as a newborn.
And we didn't turn out too bad - you can do it!!!!!
