So I'm realizing the reason why I can't concentrate on this last finance class is that it's not really tough--the math part is circa grade 10 (well, Manitoba university-level grade 10 math--sorry Ontario kids, the provincial Conservatives fucked you out of a high school education harder than you'll ever know). Actually, it was the guy in a suit from Chrysler Financial in the back row that had the financial management stuff, the rest was about business and entrepreneurship in the hip-hop community. Y'no, I'm not sure if I should admit this, but there really was more excitement about entrepreneurship in that room than in all but one of my entrepreneurship classes.
And of course, in true Ryerson Business fashion, that one exception (Prof. Tom McKaig) has been banished to U. of Guelph. So realistically, Russel Simmons and Lil' X have more inspiration and advice than any of my ENT profs.
