Bag
A travel-worn backpack given to Red as a gift from mother. It contains various pouches and pockets, good for storing a number of items.

Contents:
- Lum Berry x10 | This Berry's gradual process of storing nutrients beneficial to Pokémon health causes it to mature slowly. Heals all status conditions.

- Full Restore x6 | A spray-type medicine for wounds. It completely restores the HP of a single Pokémon.

- Ultra Ball x 3 | An ultra-performance Ball that provides a higher Pokémon catch rate than a Great Ball.

- Antidote x 5 | A spray-type medicine. It heals one Pokémon from a poisoning.

A simple red mountain bike, made for fast transportation.

Backtagging | As someone who is very guilty of this, I say sure! Real life gets the best of all of us sometimes, and I don't mind revisiting old threads/logs.

Threadhopping | Unless it's labeled as private, go right ahead.

Subject Line Comments | NO FUN ALLOWEDsure, why not.

Fourthwalling | Well, considering that Pokemon is an internationally known series that has been referenced in many other types of media, I'd be crazy not to allow this. Just don't be obnoxious about it? I don't have a problem with characters recognizing Red or his Pokemon or even acknowledging them as video game characters (chances are, he won't really believe you or care much to begin with), but don't go overboard with it. From experience, too much of a good thing can be really awkward to respond to.

Hugging | No preference! Unless you're a friend or someone he considers family, he'll very likely go rigid and won't make any move to return it; especially if you're a girl because COOTIES.

Kissing | It depends on your relationship with him. If you're a male friend or family, he'll consider a peck on the cheek or forehead to be platonic and won't mind so much. Similarly, if you're a girl and a friend and/or family member, he'll also consider it platonic unless it's anywhere else in which case he'll seize up and become very, very embarrassed. If you're a stranger and catch him completely off guard, he'll likely react with extreme discomfort but not outright hostility. Ask if you're unsure of your standing with him.

Flirting | If you don't mind the recipient being a deadpan log who's more or less oblivious to your advances, sure.

Hacking | If it says "hackable" in the subject line, go for it. If it doesn't, ask me first.

What's alright to mention around him | It isn't very difficult to get along with Red, especially if the conversation is geared towards Pokemon. He also has an interest in video games and technology as a whole (even if he isn't very knowledgeable about the more advanced stuff). Everything's fair game for him.

What's not alright to mention around him | There are a few sensitive issues Red will react negatively towards. Abusing anything weaker than yourself such as animals (ESPECIALLY Pokemon, though that wouldn't really be applicable in this setting l-lol) and kids is a big no-no for him; in such a situation where he is witness to it himself and in a position to fight back, expect him to confront you about it. Insulting his friends, family or Pokemon is also liable to get you in trouble, though he doesn't really care if he himself is insulted. Insult his mother? You're dead. Despite not showing it at all, he really cares about his mom and, even if he hasn't shown it for three years, misses her a great deal. Bringing her up in conversation is liable to make him act more distant than usual.

As a player, I have no problem if any of those things are mentioned around Red. Again, if you're unsure of where you stand and if anything you say will have potentially negative consequences, ask me for clarification.

Fighting him | Without his Pokemon at his disposal, Red is as weak as any fourteen year-old boy. Unless he learns some method of fighting be it through hand-to-hand means or with the use of weapons, he's about as threatening as a dead fish. If you manage to back him to a corner (and even if he doesn't have some sort of makeshift weapon on him), he WILL fight back, being the stubborn soul that he is.

With his Pokemon? Hoo boy, that's a completely different story. Canonically and as of HG/SS, Red is the strongest trainer to ever be fought in the primary Pokemon games (R/B/Y, S/G/C, R/S/E, D/P/P, B/W) due to what his team consists of. Each of his Pokemon hit hard with abilities that range from summoning thunderbolts, to spraying torrents of water that hit with more force than a fire hose, to sapping energy directly from opponents, to summoning psychic blasts, etc. Each also has a type weakness: being an electric type, Pikachu is extremely weak to attacks born out of earth/ground elements, Charizard is weak against water attacks, Blastoise and Lapras are vulnerable to electricity, Venusaur is weak against fire, Espeon can't stand up to dark/ghost based attacks, and Snorlax is weak against fighting based-attacks. While they aren't invincible by any means necessary, they're trained to endure until the very end, making any battle against them in succession one of endurance.

In a fight where Red has time to prepare (lol prep time) his basic strategy would likely involve using Pikachu as his last line of defense and rely upon one of the big three - Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur - while occasionally switching between Snorlax and Lapras (and Espeon if he has it with him). In a spur of the moment fight where he intends to do as much damage in as little time as possible, he would use either Pikachu, Charizard or Blastoise. Charizard is especially invaluable to him due to it having the ability to fly, making midair battles doable as well.

THAT SAID, if you believe that your character is reasonably powered to go up against giant monsters with elemental powers, go for it! Fighting is Red's nature and he loves a good, tough challenge. If you want to challenge him to a normal fight where he's without any Pokemon and why would you want to seriously ask me first before you start planning a beatdown.

Injury | Absolutely. Whether it be minor injuries like broken bones, black eyes or cuts, or heavy duty maiming that would involve loss of limbs, I'm okay with it. For the latter and any fatal injuries, please plot something with me first.

Death | Only if we've plotted something out. I don't want to kill him senselessly if it can be avoided.

Around psychics/mind readers | Reading Red's mind is fine, but don't expect any earth-shattering secrets. As a naturally stoic person who isn't prone to openly expressing his feelings, there's a lot of suppressed anxiety to be found within his mind. Since becoming the Pokemon League Champion three years ago and finding nothing satisfying about the accomplishment, Red has become a very internally restless person who harbors insecurities about his life and where it's going; for better lack of words, he's lost. His mother and father are constantly in his thoughts. Oftentimes, he feels guilty for not keeping in contact with his mom but is afraid to even try out of worry for what he'd hear from her. Telepaths would be able to feel these emotions, but little else of interest.
