Well, it doesn't really matter what others think unless it's Malik, does it?

I am envious, sometimes....I try not to be jealous or territorial

Here is how i see the difference between envy and jealousy. I actually view envy as *worse* than jealousy ......

*Jealousy is when you brother/sister gets a cookie and you don't.
*Envy is when you want THAT specific cookie that your brother/sister has and no other cookie is good enough. It has to be THAT one.

Both are symptomatic of something else. Jealousy and envy are not 'natural feelings', they stem from other things -- insecurities, uncertainty, instability, loss, fear.

Jealousy just seems less severe psychologically speaking than envy....

Territorial to a certain degree is good -- especially when used for protecting property. When it becomes possessive that it can become unhealthy and dangerous -- this is very hard in the D/s world!!! At what point does territorial behavior become unhealthy and abusive?

I am neither envious nor jealous - however, I am VERY territorial. If I feel that you are encroaching on MY territory, or MY people, I will let you know about it, and damned quick, as well.

It's not so much, that in the case of a mate, that I feel any sort of resentment of attention to him, as much as I resent the intrusion into my life, and some girls, well, they don't have any sense, and even when told that nothing is going to happen, they have to press the issue. I find that VERY annoying, and at that point, they are encroaching on MY time, and MY space. That's territorial. In terms of the dungeon, some don't know, or don't care that what happens there is like Vegas, it needs to stay there. And being bothered at home, by a casual play partner, is annoying as hell. As you said, home is a sanctuary, and at that point, my territory has been invaded.

I can be very territorial. I don't want people messing with what's mine.
I hate to admit it, but sometimes I feel envious too.

I rarely feel envious. But I am always territorial. I can't remember the last time I felt jealous.

But like Allison mentioned, does it really matter what others think of you? As long as you and yours know the truth, to hell with the rest.
