:( I got sad for you. From what you've told me about Ben's family, though, they sound awesome. I'm sure you'll have a good Christmas, albeit a different one. You mentioned Hanukkah. Is Ben Jewish? Just curious. And feel free to steal the meme's! I heart them!

Ben's mom was raised Jewish, Ben's dad was raised Episcopalian (I think?), but Ben and his brother were raised in a very secular household. Ben is convinced that lightning will strike the church if he sets foot in it! With the way that Jewish law works, Ben is actually considered a Jew :)
And it's a new tradition to celebrate Hanukkah each year. The family friends are Jewish, and we decided to go over last year because they were celebrating Hanukkah a lot later than normal. It's kind of interesting to celebrate two holidays during the Christmas season :)
