What kind of behaviour is that for a queen?

cutecoati: Maybe she's hoping for a career as University President.

I've never laughed so hard for the past month. Brilliant. *wipes tears*

Thank you! :) That pun was totally unavoidable - especially given the ideological background of the whole movie...

That was lovely. I am content. Once again, another atrocious movie that I don't have to see has given up its wine of enjoyment for my pleasure!

Heheh, an even shorter summary would be:

"If there were ever any such thing as $9 worth of guys in their underwear, this movie is it."

We actually paid to see this in the theaters, it was awful, and then our friends gave a huge lecture about how this movie was obviously propaganda to get us all to join the army.

Well, there's definitely plenty of propaganda going on...

Yay! I knew there was a reason why I refused to see this movie. Thanks for banishing all my doubts about that decision completely.

Narrator: No sleep for the king tonight.
fourth_rose: Shakespeare sends his love.

You're welcome - yes, refusing to see it is the only sensible course of action when it comes to this movie!

Yes, my thoughts exactly! Not even the half-naked fighting men have persuaded me to go see it so far, and now I know why. Thanks, History Spork!

Okay, the legal position of Spartan women was marginally better than that of women in other parts of Greece, but aren't we overdoing the emancipation act a bit here?

I read something when the movie first came out about how women were going to see it because they'd beefed up the female parts.

Um, no. Women were going to see it because of buff guys in leather skirts. Duh.

Every single person who told me to go told me "There is boy touching! There is sexy boy touching! Go!"

Me, I hate violence. So I did not.
