You should! It's... pure fun. Simple, unadulterated fun. No eyecandy, though (unless you don't go for Colin Firth being visibly uncomfortable in his Roman-style uniform ;D).

My partner and I wached this just before Christmas, and I'm proud to say we sporked many of the same things you did.

Plus, we watched them go over the Alps in slo-mo, and counted them off - there's Gandalf, and Frodo, and he's Aragorn, and obviously the Tamil ninja is Legolas...

We were laughing so hard when we saw it at the theatre - but for once, we weren't shushed, because the whole audience was giggling most of the time!

The Caradhras Alps scene was hilarious! The moment when Gandhi-Gandalf-Merlin stares into the distance from beyond his hood!! *giggle*
