Seriously though, it wasn't as bad as many other Tudor flicks we've seen (we're still traumatized from "The Golden Age", after all...), but there was plenty of stuff to spork...

I remember skipping this movie due to three things:
1. Henry VIII's adventures are too complicated for a movie (especially a modern Hollywood movie)
2. It's based on a NOVEL based on history, so that's two levels of butchery
3. Scarlett and Natalie weren't going to take off their tops anyway

*giggles* 1) and 2) are very valid points, and as for 3), since Scarlett Johansson's boobs barely fit into her corsets, that would probably have been a technical problem ;))

And ow, oh god, I am suddenly SO GLAD I resisted the lure of pretty costumes and didn't see this movie. Good gracious.
Movie and TV makers of the world: The actual history of the Tudor family and their doings is PLENTY INTERESTING. Please, please, please stop messing this crap around and making it less interesting for the benefit of your weird hangups and a half-assed idea of what will appeal to audiences. Gah.
