I'm bogged down with homework and classes and internship and honor society induction planning and they're enjoying warm weather and sun. I know that it's there anniversary trip, but i hope they bring me back something ( Read more... )

I wasn't freaking out before you said something. Then I thought maybe I should freak out, like people were expecting it or something.... but nah I can't even fake it.

I'm pretty close to being old enough to be taken seriously. Then I'll f≈#% some shit up adult-style!

I think anyone has the potential to be taken seriously at any age. Are you going to laugh at a 14 year old sticking you up with a gun?

I only had an image in my head of you freaking out for a second. My supervisor at the museum gets all upset when she remembers that she moved to DC from Oregon to start working at the Smithsonian before I was even born, so why wouldn't people I'm friendly with (on LJ, anyway) feel weird that they were born before my parents even got together?

I was a year and a half old when your parents got married. Not quite enough to make me feel old.

The harshest measurement of age distance is the grade school test. I was in 5th grade when you were in kindergarten. Still not breaking my brain....

My wife, on the other hand, was in middle school when you were in kindergarten... so there's a mind twister.

Yeah, school is the real one. A guy who was a counselor for the 5th grade boys when I was in 5th grade ran into me the summer before my senior year of high school. He freaked out when he heard how old I was.

My first summer as a counselor in 2000 I had a group of 2nd graders. They're all 8th graders now. That makes me feel old. And my cousin who I remember holding as a baby is being Bar Mitzvahed in January. I don't think I should feel this old at 21.

Yes, any minute now, I'm going to be grown up.

...and I'm not freaking out because of the flirting back in the day...it was fun and well-intentioned. Unfortunately for you, you've blown your chance now that I'm happily taken. You could have had all this *motions up and down* and now you are quigless. ;)

I will have a post forthcoming...ummm, when I'm not swamped with work and life. *big hugs*

Oh, I understand swamped with work and life. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to stay at my internship through the fall. Working 16 hours a week while still taking 4 classes, one of which being my capstone, being president of an honor society, and living off campus so I need to add in commuting and communal house things like my share of cookng and cleaning? I was crazy to think it'd be doable.

Yeah, it's sad, but I'll survive being Quiggless. We discussed once how it never would have worked anyway. :P

And hugs? We lived through Jorgeo...it's huggles! (Especially if they're huggles from Quiggle)
