This is fucking insane. Actual temp (here in the Ohio River Valley area of WV, which is not known for being extremely hot) right now is 98 degrees, give or take a degree depending on which website I'm consulting. Humidity is low for here, at around 57%. Heat index, though? Anywhere from 113 to 126 degrees, again depending on the site. Normal

Holy CRAP, that's hot. It got somewhere close to that, a few of the weekend rehearsals leading up to the Harry Potter chess match, where I finally started getting massively affected by the heat and almost passed out. It wasn't quite HI sixteen over a hundred, though. Fortunately for your health, I doubt you were outside in the sun for extended periods, running through melees again and again. Must have been absolute murder, though.

Currently in Boston, where it is a GORGEOUS 80's or so mid-day, probably 60's at night. Even mid-day, it's the sun that's warm, not the air. If the sun's on you, you can feel it. Breezes, though, and shade both bring lovely refreshment with them.

The worst part, though, is that I read an article that says this kind of heat may become the norm. Now, I certainly don't take anything science-related in the MSM without a bucket of salt, but still...
