Home from a three day weekend in TX. Left DFW around 11, TX time, got into DC around 4, MD time, grabbed supper, changed hats, taught my PreGED class from 6:30 to 9:30 ... and was home by 10:30 ( Read more... )

Hey.
I was TOTALLY disgusted because the plane home was overbooked and they were giving out free round trips to anyone who would give up their seat Monday. I sat there, sorely tempted, but had to teach that night and work Tues and and and...
Did I even think of calling you? Nooooooo!
I was an idiot!!
When I got back a tutor friend said I should have called her to sub my night class so I could stay longer and when I went in to work Tues I found out I didn't have to be there: the College was closing from 11 - 5 for the new pres thing.
AT THAT POINT I realized I should have called YOU and stayed over Mon and got another trip back. But of course I didn't think...
We could have caught up and had a good ol' time.
sigh...
NEXT TIME this happens you can be sure I will take advantage of the free ticket and trust the powers so much bigger and smarter than us to make it all happen okay.

yes, amazing how that all works. We always think the world can't get along without us in a given place, at a given time.........only to find out that plans change, and other arrangements can be made (at least for short times) My life with Mr. Traveler has taught me that. There's not much that can't be delayed for short periods of time. NEXT time...........see you then!
