I just called the tour company. My 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tour tomorrow is on. Sigh... It is supposed to "maybe" get above freezing tomorrow. Jeez Louise. I love bopping around DC being a tour guide. I HATE BEING COLD. It's a real push-pull. Oh well. Thank God for my IL parka and new insulated boots. We shall survive. ugh

It was a full bus: 30 die hard tourists, me, and one of my favorite driver's Sam. Day tours are twice as long but really half as hard: more relaxed, more fun because you get to know people better. The wind was bitter cold but the sun shined. We had a good day -- and climbing onto the Metro heading home at 5 instead of heading in to DC for a night tour is MUCH nicer.
I go again tomorrow.
It's supposed to be into the 40s, maybe even tickle 50.
Yippee!

Sounds like you're really enjoying the new career. Just think, just around the corner are the cherry blossoms and nice spring weather. I wonder if there will be more tourist traffic in DC with the new pres. Take care and stay warm. Excited yet about TX? When do you get in?

January One of Coldest in Decade
The month that just ended was more than three degrees colder than normal, and one of Washington's coldest in the past 10 years, according to National Weather Service data.

At least I know I'm not a total wimp. It has been REALLY COLD here. yuk
