I woke up in the forest North of the village, about fifty feet in the air. Landed, found out my clothes were gone, found out my stuff was gone, found out I had wings. Found the magic book I'm talking to you with now. Had my name on it.

Wings were a little sore at first, but they're fine now. Just uncomfortable to lie on. Had to cut holes in my jacket.

Before I got here, I was dreaming. Still think that might be connected. Caught a glimpse of the medicine man I was camping with at the time right before I woke up here.

October, 2002. Tanzania, Africa. Don't remember the exact date. Arrived here about late afternoon. Was night back in Africa. I'd just fallen asleep after meeting a medicine man I'd been looking for. Mohlomi. Old guy. Too old to still be human.
