Is there any kind of law enforcement around here? I know nothing's permanent, but it might be a good idea.

[There. Short and sweet. If he's wrong, he'll be happy to be corrected. If not? Well. He just might need to find some people who can help him do something about it. His last run-in with that bigass dragon had him thinking about stuff like ( Read more... )

That is an interesting question. It would be terrible to live in a place without law enforcement wouldn't it?

[No, Shredder is not the least bit bothered by your overall appearance.]

[Props to you then, buddy. Though talking with him over the phone is a lot different than meeting him in person. Hold your ground then and he might be impressed.]

It's harder to keep tabs on things, at least. I've never been all that great with paperwork.

[...He won't be that bothered >.>]

Paperwork is a part of life sadly, though it does get easier as you go.

[He should know. Even crimelords have to do their share of paperwork from time to time.]

Are you attempting to enforce the law by yourself?

Me? No. What I do is probably beyond most worlds' standard policy.

[Going to say Heisuke isn't looking at the pictures in the journal or he'd freak out at the sight of Hellboy.]

Doesn't sound like it. Why? Gotta need for the law to take over something?

[Story of his life, that is. Voice function is good for him.]

Just trying to see if anyone's tried putting something together.

So far it's been all vigilante since no one has a set of laws to even enforce.

Huh. [He's not quite sure how he feels about that.] Nobody's tried making any?

Plenty have. There's the blue wings -- or whatever they're called, and for awhile there was the Justice League.

But most of those are organizations that operate separately, a lot of the people here are pretty individual about going their own way, and like I said, there isn't even a set list of laws to follow and enforce in the first place.

In a place this small, it happens. People have their own way of doing things. But I'm thinking more in case something big happens. Things like crowd control and evacuations. Leaving every man for himself is taking a pretty big risk if you ask me.

[ Suspicious? Helios isn't suspicious. He's just perusing the item shop and maybe walking around the town as well. But he notices Hellboy and is a biiit curious. Because you know who wouldn't be? So have a derpy headmaster looking at you and trying not to be completely unprofessional. He might be running into a shelf in the shop, with a slight 'oomph', for added comedic relief. ]

[Funny thing about Hellboy is he's got a mind like a steel trap. He remembers you, Helios. Didn't even have to take notes.]

Easy. You know those shelves; they come out of nowhere.

[He won't even comment on the staring. It's pretty standard practice where he's from.]

[ Helios is just going to laugh, sheepishly, straightening his glasses. ]

Oh. Yes they do. No! I-I mean. I was just...looking at these cups. You know, changing the decor and all. [ Just smiling and holding one of those cups up. ]

Right.

[You are such a twitchy guy. You'd probably make him nervous if he was even capable of that. The verdict's still out, but knowing how much firepower you're packing with that magic, he might just have a good reason.]

How are you doing, Professor Sprensonne? Set any more fires?

I think there's a bunch called the Blue Rogues. Adell runs 'em - pretty tough guy, and this is me sayin' this.

Patrol and stuff. I guess they're kind of like the city guards? I don't know - haven't really seen 'em in action.
